Dr. Timothy Shim

Dr. Timothy Shim serves as the Director of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery and is a Senior Consultant Plastic Surgeon. He specializes in advanced reconstruction procedures for skin malignancies, head and neck cancers, breast cancer, and lower limb reconstruction in addition to advanced aesthetic surgery. He graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2002 and completed further surgical training, earning his Membership of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2005 and a Master’s in Medicine in Surgery from NUS in 2007. He completed advanced training in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery in 2011 and became a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore in 2013. He also specialized in Supermicrosurgery at The University of Tokyo Hospital in 2011. He previously served as a Senior Consultant at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and was also the Program Director for the National Healthcare Group’s Plastic Surgery Training Program and a clinical tutor at the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University. He continues to serve as a Visiting Consultant at TTSH. Dr. Shim works as a clinical practitioner and has been appointed as a Joint Committee for Specialist Training Site Accreditor. He is dedicated to community service and regularly participates in mission trips.
