Dr. John Thomas is a highly experienced Senior Consultant Neurosurgeon with over 25 years in the field, currently serving as the Medical Director of the Immanuel Centre for Neurosurgery since 2012. He previously held significant roles at the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI), Singapore General Hospital (SGH), National Cancer Centre (NCC), and Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC). Dr. Thomas chaired the Residency Accreditation Committee for Neurosurgery in Singapore from 2012 to 2018. His expertise spans Functional Neurosurgery, including Deep Brain Stimulation for Parkinson’s Disease, Epilepsy Surgery, and Micro-vascular Decompression, as well as Radiosurgery for brain and spine tumors and other complex neurosurgical procedures. A graduate of the National University of Singapore Medical School, he received prestigious fellowships to the UK and USA for advanced training in Neurosurgery, with specialized training in epilepsy surgery, deep brain stimulation, and skull base surgery. Dr. Thomas has been actively involved in medical education, research, and leadership roles throughout his career.

Dr. Wee Chee Keong, founder of Capernaum Neurology, specializes in acute stroke treatment. He earned his MBBS in Singapore and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in the UK in 2009. Dr. Wee completed his neurology specialty training and received accreditation from the Ministry of Health in 2013, followed by fellowship training at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, Australia. As Chief Medical Informatics Officer at the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI), he contributed to refining acute stroke treatment protocols. Dr. Wee co-chaired NNI’s Brain Awareness Carnival in 2017 and was involved in neurology education as a faculty member of the neurology senior residency programme and adjunct assistant professor at Duke-NUS medical school. He has presented at international neurology conventions and continues to practice at Capernaum Neurology, treating stroke, dementia, headaches, Parkinson’s disease, and epilepsy, while also consulting at Singapore General Hospital.
